Vanakkam world
After this pandemic outbreak, many talks about hygienic practices that need to be followed. Few country presidents and prime ministers highlighted Indians' welcome practice of Vanakam or Namaste is a good way to welcome each other, without spreading germs. Now I see many of my Indian friends and neighbors, who welcomed me with a hug and hand shake forwarding those speeches and posts saying, "see the whole world now following Indian practices and we are well cultured from long ago" . I feel pity for such sudden patriots. Are we influenced by that extreme of westernization? Cant we feel proud about ourselves without the acknowledgement of other country people? Believe in our practices. When it comes to culture, We are blessed than any other country. Because India has one of the oldest civilizations in the world, we have more to admire on our customs, just try to know the meaning and reasons for our practices and continue following them according to the existing environ
