 After finishing sight word books, picture books, Short stories, Kids should be introduced to chapter books. Chapter books are primarily for intermediate readers probably 7 to 10 years old. But there are book loving kids, who can switch to chapter books at the age of 6 itself.  Chapter books are more of prose and less of pictures. Reading chapter books increases kids involvement to the story and stronger bond to the characters in the book. Reading a chapter book for a week long makes the kids to improve their connectivity skill and sequencing skill.
