Places traveled in Summer 2017 - 4 days bus tour
Summer vacation 2017, we took a break on our routine and went on a 4 days bus tour with two kids. Experience on travelling with kids itself requires a different post. So I made it seperate - Travel experience. Here, I pen down (ha ha type down) about the views of the places through my eyes.
Day 1
It was a four days long tour, finalized through take tours. But the service provider was America Asia.
We started on saturday morning (16th sep) from home to China town in Uber. From there, a tour bus picked us up to Montrey. From there, we changed to the actual tour bus that take us to the trip. The AC tour bus is cool and had wide windows to see all the beauties on our travel.
We started from there around 10 o'clock, took a couple of rest room breaks and a lunch break near a mall and were taken to one of the sight seeing places in tour plan, LONDON BRIDGE, Guide gave us a brief note on the place that the bridge was shipped from London to it's current place, thus it was named after it's origin. The place's architecture was designed like places in UK and there we can see the flags of US and UK on top of the bridge.
For pics and history of London bridge click How London Bridge ended up in Arizona.
That is the only sight we saw on the 1st day. Rested our day in Colorado Belle Casino resort. It was built in the shape of a ship, that design suited well because, it was located on the bank of Colorado river.
Day 2:
Grand Canyon |
Grand Canyon: To be exact about the the place, it is Desert view of Grand Canyon National Park. In simple, it is Grand canyon - East rim. When compared to other rims of Grand Canyon, East rim is not much recommended; But, from my eyes, the sight of layered red rocks going deeper and deeper in East rim is as same as other rims. Excited to see those wide spread land area reflecting different colors. This place is not just rocky, but could see greenery on top of it. A small river flowing down on one corner. It was believed that naturally carved Vishnu temple could be seen on the other end of the Grand canyon, but I did not find any such view.
Horse Shoe Bend: It was more like hiking and trekking to this place. Pushing strollers were so hard. Kids need more attention, as there is no rails. However it is too difficult to reach the place, I feel, it is all worth it. It looks like a raised rock in the middle of the river water. It might have happened due to water erosion to that surface. Whatever the cause is, the rock and the river combination to see is ultimate. The greenish blue color in water and the reddish brown color on the rock under the bright sunlight, makes me feel nature's beauty is unique.
Upper Antelope: I went on a jeep tour to this place. The path to this place has different soil type, thus jeep is the safest mode of transport. Bright sunlight is the preferable time to visit this place. Kids below 5 years are not allowed.
Again, this is also a place where a cave like structure formed due to water erosion. We have to walk through this rocky place from one end to the other end of this cave. This end to end is full of curves, having raised rocky mountain on both sides. But the texture is too smooth and blunt, because it was eroded by water.
It has a dark room and shadow room in the middle, where the radiation of sunlight is less. The Beauty of the antelope is the sunlight, that falls down to this antelope through the cracks on top of it. The rocks reflects the sunbeam radiation as golden fire. Camera capture them as volcanoes. A must place to visit. I got to know the power of water by visiting this place.
Day 3
Bryce National Park
Those raised yellowish Golden color rocky mountains, looked like carved temple tower. The shades
vary from yellow, brown, red and in few places I saw, the icy white on top of few rocks.
Zion National Park
Since I was too much excited in Grand canyon and Bryce, my expectation with Zion became high, thus the excitement after seeing the place became less. It looked like black and white mountain, got a chance to see the high mountains where it's bottom is seen below road level.
The highlight is the tunnel path to Zion National park. The path is completely dark and manually carved windows in between to see the perfect mountain view.
Las Vegas
It might be a preferable place to bachelors and those who are interested in Casino. It was hard for me to visit many places in Las Vegas with kids. Still we watched Bellegio's water show, The Mirage's Volcano show and the Venetian city mall. These places are remarkable. We stayed in Excalibur hotel, which was designed like Disney world. A nice place to capture pics with kids in front of it.
Day 4
The final day of a bus tour is meant for Industrial visit I guess. They took us to Chocolate factory Ethel M. No guide to explain the process, but their process could be viewed through transparent glass window. This factory has accompanied with cactus garden, a nice place to click pics.
Thus the end of our tour. We had been dropped in same picked up location. When we returned home, we were physically tired but with refreshed mind.
